Questions, answered

If yours is not here, we are a message away.

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business API account?

No. You connect your number through Meta from inside Sagwass, and we handle the API side. You can bring a number you already use for WhatsApp Business, though it has to be disconnected from the WhatsApp app first — a number lives in one place or the other, not both.

How does the free trial work?

Pick a plan and start using it — no card up front. You get the whole plan for 14 days, not a cut-down version. When the trial ends you choose whether to subscribe; nothing is charged automatically, and your data stays where it is.

Does WhatsApp charge me separately?

Yes. Meta bills for conversations on the WhatsApp Cloud API at its own rates, which vary by country and by whether you or the customer started the conversation. That is paid to Meta directly and is not part of your Sagwass plan.

What counts towards my monthly messages?

Messages you send — replies from the inbox, campaigns, automated follow-ups and bot replies. Messages your customers send you are not counted. The allowance resets each month, and it belongs to your account: if your plan includes more than one workspace, they share one allowance rather than getting one each.

Can I change plan later?

Yes, at any time, from Billing inside your workspace. Moving up takes effect immediately. If you move down, anything already over the new plan's limits keeps working — you just cannot add more until you are back inside them.

What happens if I go over a limit?

Sending stops rather than silently costing you more. You will see which limit you have reached and can upgrade to carry on — nothing is deleted and no overage is billed.

How do I pay?

Card, bank transfer or USSD, handled by our payment provider. Prices are shown in the currency each plan is set in.

Can my whole team use one account?

Each plan includes a number of agents, and every agent gets their own login rather than sharing one. You choose what each of them can reach — the inbox only, or campaigns and contacts as well — and chats can be assigned between them.

What if I need more than the largest plan?

Talk to us. Higher message volumes, extra numbers, onboarding and migration help are all things we can put together for you.
